COMMITTED TO KEEPING CLARION, PA CONNECTED WITH THE LATEST TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCES IN DENTISTRY.
Dental implants allow you to laugh, speak, and smile with confidence. Also, they allow you to eat virtually anything with ease.
Simply put, a dental implant is a titanium anchor post that is placed inside the jaw bone. In time, your jaw bone bonds naturally around the implanted post, creating a firm foundation for replacement teeth. Then, replacement teeth are attached to the anchor post and securely and naturally held in place with the support of your jaw bone.
Dr. Jewell has extensive training in dental implant surgeries. He has logged hundreds of hours of hands-on implant training and surgeries. As a result, he is a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantolgists and will be honored as a Fellow with the organization in 2020.
At Clarion Dental Care we use the very latest in tools and technology to make procedures like dental implants safer and easier.
How long does it take to complete treatment?
For most patients, the placement of dental implants involves two surgical procedures. First, Dr. Jewell will gently place the implant post within your jaw bone. During the next three to six months, the post gradually bonds with the jaw bone, creating a stable anchor for the man-made tooth. During this time period, you should be able to wear temporary dentures and eat a normal diet.
We will review and explain your individual treatment plan and process in an initial consultation so you will know what to expect, every step of the way.
How long will it take for my dental implant to heal?
The time period necessary for implants to heal varies by person. Unfortunately, there is not much that can be done to speed the process in which your jawbone bonds to the implanted post. But in most cases, the implant should be allowed to heal for at least 3 months prior to attaching the final man-made tooth.
What is the cost of a dental implant?
The actual cost of dental implants depends on many factors. The cost is typically relative to other tooth replacement options. But dental implants are longer-lasting and so are often are more cost-effective than bridges, partials, and dentures.
The best way to get a true sense of the cost is to have a consultation with Dr. Jewell. Contact us at 814 223 9968 to schedule your dental implant consultation or ask us any questions. We are happy to help you understand your treatment options.
